The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage made for intervention experiences a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out sassa a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
